Now that the founders have all retired, there is a faint possibility that Microsoft will acquire a rational business model based on cooperative development and quality product, as opposed to the monopoly "interuptive innovation" model that is such a crock of crap.

The real innovators are the people who have been in the business for decades and produce the hardware -- fancy gadgets are not innovations, they are sales opportunities provided by the packaging of hardware devices.

Microsoft has always been on the back side of the curve.
