The transmission itself is overall fine, I just don't care for the missing first gear. (That is, the 3 speed's ratio on first is similar to the 4 speed's in second). On the highway its grand, but around down its pretty sleepy.
I've never driven a 3.5 with the 4 speed fluid coupling trans. I suspect I'd like it.
