With no primary smelters (the kind that refine ore dug from the ground), I don't
know how much mining is currently taking place. Anything dug out of the ground
gets exported now that there's no place to smelt it here. I suspect there's a
good bit of demand in China but I don't know if they have their own mining
sources.
