I rectified the problem by calling a local Amsoil dealer and ordering some. I became a dealer, while I was at it. Their products are pricey but proven. I did this as a matter of convenience and I can pick up a few bucks if I sign up other dealers. The savings on this order=more than the $30 annual dealer fee. I won't have to run all over creation tying to find what I need or pay padded shipping fees. I'm not going to start a Amsoil vs Mobil 1 thing or anything There is sufficient documentation to make me comfortable with running their products with extended drain intervals. In the past I have sent oil for analysis, many, many samples and change oil according to those results. I intend to run the Amsoil motor oil in all my MBs after I go through the Mobil 1 I have in stock. I will chose a vehicle and run it for 20,000mi and have the oil tested at 10,000 and 20,000 then change accordingly thereafter. So if anyone wants to become a dealer, preferred customer or get a catalog, e-mail me privately and I'll take your info. I don't know fully how it all works as I just got off the phone with the guy but I'll get myself up to speed on the details. Dealer fee for a year is $30, preferred customer $20. Like I said, I already saved more than the fee. I realize this may not be for some folks, as mentioned the products are pricey. I have always saved money in the long run using synthetics at extended drain intervals and have no blown engines to cry about.
