I am bumming out big time.

I have yet to find anything remotely decent around here. Very few W140 sedans,
most of which are clapped out or poorly represented.

The 1999 S320 I looked at in Sarasota on Saturday was decent, but not $4k
decent. Guy wants $4500 or best offer. I offered $3700, which prompted a
response of, "I won't take less than $4000." ??? Then why did you say "best
offer?"

Oy.

Local dealer has a 1997 S320 that has 180k, history of a rear end accident, and
spotty service history, and a trashed driver's seat. They're asking $6900! I
talked with them today and they pretty much told me to piss off if I wouldn't
pay at least $6k for the car. Crackheads!

Everything else I've seen has been offered by indie dealers. Two cars I looked
at this weekend were total beaters, despite the photos looking halfway decent.

I'm getting desperate.

There are some prospects in Orlando I may look at on the weekend. One is a
green, yes green, S420. It belongs to an indie dealer, but it looks pretty
decent.

Arrgh.
