If you use an old 722.1 will destroy itself quite quickly. It is a Wx025 
transmission, the turbos require an Wx035 to handle the extra torque.

You could try a 722 from an early W116 300SD. 

B2 piston isn't the usual cause of flaring. That will be a clutch pack or brake 
band. Then people adjust the hell out of the modulator to delay the inevitable. 
300k is pretty good mileage on a turbo transmission. 

Why don't you just fix your 722.3. It isn't that hard. Or exchange 
transmissions aren't that costly compared to the labour if will not do it 
yourself.
