Andrew, Why are you so obsessed with posting articles about guns? I doubt that anything you can post will influence anyone on this list.
The writer of this particular article probably has close to zero experience with guns. Responsible law-abiding gun owners make every effort to be safe. The very basics include keeping the gun and the ammo separate, keeping the gun on "safe" until just about to shoot, never pointing the gun at anything you don't intend to shoot, and only loading ammunition into the gun when you are preparing to shoot. Removing the firing pin is simply one more positive safety step in addition to all those above. "If you can't do it safely, don't do it!" are good words to live by when dealing with forces that can easily kill or maim. This last line makes perfectly obvious the ignorance of the writer: "But you have to wonder, if gun control is right for an NRA convention, maybe gun control is right for your community, too." Confusing a safety measure with "gun control" is a pretty gross mistake. All credibility is lost in just those few words. -Max _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
