Having gotten tired of trying to drive in and from Albuquerque with intermittent flashers, I solved the problem this evening.
I went to Pep Boys, bought a two terminal flasher, cut two of the socket pins out of my flakey MB flasher, spliced in some wire, and voilá! It works just fine. Cheap, too.
