With recent talk of monowipers I am reminded that mine needs help. The motor is sluggish at best. I'm thinking maybe something in the gearbox (or not in the gearbox ie lubrication) is causing the slow-down. I have a spare gearbox and the original fried-looking motor that came in my 1986 190D 2.5 Euro. When the switch indicates high speed position, the wipers move very slowly, when it indicates slow speed, the wipers move faster, in the delay position, it does nothing at all. I will be looking things over in a couple of hours and checking the pin-out on the electrical connector. I have been using RainX, which is a wonderful product, in lieu of wipers. It works great over 35-40mph but I really want my wipers to function correctly.
        Any information, tips/tricks deeply appreciated.

Johnny B.
