It doesn;t mention the problem being addressed - its a W126 and not a
W140
chassis - but the engine is my concern -
As far as I know, all 3.5s are rod benders. I have heard of these
engines being bad as early as 35,000. I have driven a couple with over
200,000 that had no problems or excessive oil consumption up to that
time. I'm sure these were the exception, not the rule.
