Meanhwile, a large gopher, mini chipmunk, and baby cotton tail have the run of my back yard and make their home under the rear deck. The bunny is decapitating my pepper plants. I sprayed bitter apple to deter him/her but it washed off after Tuesday's thundershower. I have seen the gopher returning home from a foraging to the back 40 after a day of hunting (what??) so he probably has no interest in my tomatoes and peppers.
