I have long wondered why the D party insisted on having a "Jefferson
Jackson" day when the current party despises the the freedom embodied
by both. Nominally, each is claimed to have been a D in their day,
however, I am not sure there really was a D party for #2 when #1 (Geo
Washington) warned against forming parties. (#1 was right)
Now the question is what the D party will choose to replace Jefferson
and Jackson.
If I might make a suggestion, they should look at the success bernie
is having and stop trying to disguise their identity under Jefferson
and Jackson. If they bernieize their group, then the new day would
be called the marx and lenin day. All hail Marx and Lennon!
So long as it means Groucho and John, I am in.
