My bad. I'm guessing that is because of heating issues which would be minimal outside, but I get it. I might even have known that at some point. The single wire stuff is tmmw or something like that, it has a higher temp rated insulation.

THHN or THNN for inside. I am not sure if a different type wire is used for buried, in conduit.
