Couldn't you just put some form of reasonably solid shutter over the
windows so that you could close them when you are not there?
The garage at my younger son's house has windows over the workbench at
the one end and brackets that hold 2 X 8's or 10's (cannot recall
exactly) over the windows on the inside so that you cannot look in and
would have to go through them as well as the glass in order to get in.
I would think that in a remote location anyone who truly wanted in would
either break down the door or use a chainsaw to cut a new doorway into
the wall.
