FFolks. My rusty and not so trusty 124.193 lost it tach signal some time ago.
The loose shock tower that was breaking the ground strap also snapped a small brown wire that is part of the tach circuit. Simple repair and now this non driveable car has it's tachometer working: which also enables the idle circuit control as well. There were two broken brown wires, the other one is still an unknown. Small steps. Vacuumed out the battery area, removing the last vestiges of the battery tray's flakes and surveyed the damage. (Oh dear!). More to come. (Duck and cover). Fred Moir. Lynn MA.
