I think the real problem is the aluminum washers for the bolt. I tried a few on my 617s and had to really crank the bolt to stop "seeping" fuel. I returned to the copper washers and they seal much better with no seeping problems. I guess the aluminum are cheaper, but more of a potential headache. I got the last ones I have somewhere on eBay.
