Pull open the bottom panel. Under you will see some rubber/plastic rollers. Buy several and replace what's bad then keep the others for spares.

I asked this before, and someone answered, but now I've lost that response,
so apologies for repeating myself.

Our 17 year-old Sears Kenmore dryer has finally broken down. It makes a
terrible grinding noise during operation. It used to make a squeak squeak
for a few minutes when first started, and someone offered that it might be
a simple "carrier bearing" or something relatively easy or cheap.

Obviously I've let this go too long, now it's time to get this dryer
repaired and back in operation.

Thanks in advance!
