Remember the old "joke" about what is your plane ran on winders? Now it already is true, not only for planes, but also for cars.

Those midair reboots can really be rough.

One of the tricks with Dells was to pull the plug, take a screwdriver and short between each prong to the ground prong. Another is to pull the battery, wait 6 min, reboot.

I was on an airplane a coupla weeks ago that had to be rebooted a coupla times, and it still didn't work. Seriously, start it, shut it down, wait 10 minutes, fire it up again, lather rinse repeat. Then move all the pax to the next plane over. Same procedure with a battery disconnect might work?
