Yep! Throw the bums out. A good start was made 10 days ago.

In 1971 Donald (OT) Kaul wrote a great column about the bad practice of voting for incumbents, and how we should always vote against the incumbent so the incumbents don't turn into fat cats that always work against the people. He was right then and is still right now. (OT = Over the Coffee = the name of Kaul's regular column) Kaul is a noted leftist columnist. In 1971, he was not quite so radical.

The only change I make to that is to also OUST incumbent Judges, when they are on the ballot. We are making progress in that arena. A few years ago Awa notoriously threw out 3 Supreme Court (-ist) judges. Unfortunately none since have been thrown out. However I did note that in every judge election this year, the retention vote was only 70%, not the 95+% it used to be!

For the aviation enthusiasts, it was Donald Kaul who introduced us to Richard Bach, a somewhat free spirited pilot in the Air National Guard who was thrown out because he grew a mustache and refused to cut it off. Yep, the one and the same Richard Bach who wrote THE book for free spirits, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, and who then bought a biplane and barnstormed across the country.

Yeah I know, compromise is the when both parties get a crappy deal and the people get a better one. Obstructionist is what our current crop of politicians do when they say "We'll compromise as long as you take my deal!" I'm against both parties, they both get an equal share of the blame here. The best thing we could do is kick both sets of bums out and start over. Sadly too many are too invested in the bunch of idiots we've got now. They're willing to get rid of somebody else's corrupt official but they like to keep their own.

the system of our republic is INTENDED to obstruct hasty decisions and
RESIST the hysteria of the masses. The crybaby (D) propaganda media
started calling it "obstructionist" when the voters rejected their -ist
(unamerican) agenda and elected Reagan.

Where does the back and forth backlash end? This reminds me of Israel. The Repubs hated Clinton and got all obstructionist. For some reason Americans see an obstructionist congress as a presidential failing which got us Bush. The Dems REALLY hated Bush and were against anything he was for which swung the pendulum the other way to Obama. The Repubs out of their mind hated Obama to the point of loss of sanity which has gotten us Trump. As near as I can tell in 8 years our country will elect a left handed trans lesbian Jewish woman of color...

The political correct, I'm smarter than you, only my issue is truth, and
I'll force you to do it, progressive liberal agenda is now reaping what it
sowed. Backlash.

Americans, in the larger part, believe in the ideal of personal freedom..
After decades of having that freedom eroded, in a very civilized way, they
voted to end the path they were being forced down.

So.. "Suck it up, Buttercup" .... This is the "new reality" ......

Very good! Here is the followup to the conversation with Simon Conway that started the bill.

Listen to the audio. The original conversation is supposed to be somewhere online, but I didn't find it.
