the heads hardly ever go bad. I do have a short block that has 1 bad hole, as far as rings go. Would be cheap if you wanted to re-ring it and probably put new bearings in it while you are at it. The cylinder walls are good but as I said, 1 hole lost compression due to bad rings. Put many miles on that engine and just dropped a new one in my black wagon because I didnt have time to put new rings in it. Its worth fixing and would be a cheap easy fix if you wanted to go that route.
