That is why I have a stockpile of supposedly "good" used type 3 acc
pushbutton modules for my 123 wagon.

Speaking of heater blower motors not working.

My blower motor went south during the trip to the ChowdahQ this year and I
just found out the cure.

The "0" button did not quite snap out to the rest position when any of the
other buttons were pressed.

When I finally noticed that error, a few cycles of the buttons worked their
magic, e viola! air movement!

Simple minded fix for the idiot in charge.

YMMV

Subject: Re: [MBZ] 300SDL A/C electrical problem

It is the SDL car, thanks for the input.  My next question is simpler;
should I have an A/C specialist do this testing work, or a garage that
works mainly on European Vehicles? I have both in the area. The garage that
gave me my latest input does not have the specialized A/C. equipment
needed, but he did determine that the wiring was done incorrectly and fixed
that for me first.I was advised that the compressor did have sufficient
refrigeration to actually run, but just wasn't, and that seems to fit into
the klima issue.  Thanks
