I'm down for ethanol subsidies if they were targeted reasonably. Targeting them
at corn is not reasonable, sugar beets would be. Theres lots of non-heartland
farmers that could grow sugar beets well in places that don't support corn
production.
Actually I'm all for end all subsidies, I suspect with zero subsidies for
anybody solar and wind look better than they do having to get a subsidy to
support them against oil with its subsidies. If an industry can't stand without
subsidies its probably not that good an industry...

with gazillions of taxpayer money to subsudize them.

How come the wogers of the world are dead set against any goobermnt
support of ethanol, but 100% ignore the huge subsidies for oil, solar,
wind, etc.?
