That’s “Dan’s Law of Storage Relativity”, which states:

“No matter what the size of the living area, the amount of personal crap will 
always expand to exceed the available space.”

I am so, so happy that we only lived it the 4,000SF house in Indiana for about 
two years.  I can’t imagine what it would have been like after 4-5 years.

Years ago I was horribly sentimental about stuff.  The wife straightened me out 
after a move or two.  I am so glad she did.  And I don’t collect anything, 
thank goodness.
