Yeah, I always buy my tires from tirerack.  I get a kick when I order tires
for my 97 Subaru that tops out around 115mph or so without a LONG place to
hold the pedal.  They call and tel me they don't recommend tires below H
speed rating for my car (which I already know is 130mph), I forget the
rating on the ones I'd ordered, so I asked him what the speed was and he
says 118MPH.  "Umm, yeah I think that'll be OK"  (:

As for name brand, yeah I'm a believe in that.  I had an issue before with
some no name brand, and my 83' 300D has some "sam's club specials" on there
that came with the car and they have a "bulge" in the sidewall of one of the
tires.  So far no problems, but it's a bit unnerving.  I'm not against cheap
tires, but I prefer a brand name I've heard of...
