My 84 190D had a stripped bolt hole in each rear hub. I put 90,000 miles on it like that... Might see if a sharp chisel could tap out the broken one. Try a little heat and oil first. Curt

Anyway, getting the bolts out was hard, they were really rusted in there, and one sheared off in the hub. I guess that means that I will need to drill it out if I decide to do something with the car, and then chase the other holes with a tap? And the lug bolts are half rusty where they were not fully seated, I have never done that electrolysis thing but wonder if that might be the way to clean them up unless they are some weird metal or plated or galvanized or something?
