painted on it. I'll let you guess who made it. (Though electronic, it is
not the
now-ubiquitous stepper-motor design. It uses a quartz oscillator to drive a
bog-standard synchronous motor plug-in-the-wall clock mechanism. It hums,
not ticks.)
