A number of years ago now, I had an 86 Chevy Suburban. The exhaust pipe
would crack on the Y pipe where the 2 parts joined and I would drop
into the local Minute Muffler shop. They would put it on the hoist and
weld it in place and charge me $8.
It would last a year or two and then I would get them to do it again. A
bargain then and now.

No, I drive down to muffler shop, they put on lift, drop exhaust or whatever
and weld, I hand them $50 or less and drive off.

If you have a lift and a welder.
For all the work I do on my cars and the money I save by doing it, I don’t have
a problem paying for stuff I can’t or don’t want to do.
This is the only cost I’ve had on this car for over a year outside of
maintenance items. Tough to complain over $200.
