When I was in Uganda, the natives would not eat Tilapia from Lake
Victoria, as they believed the tilapia had eaten humans killed in the
genocide nearby. (Rwanda) I had never heard of tilapia before that, and
I still avoided it for years. Gimme a good Mississippi River catfish
any day! (over any tilapia)

I recall the episode on The Sopranos where the guys are at the deli or
butcher shop grinding up a body and one of them says something to the
effect of, "I don't think I am going to eat here for a while."
