Why the heck do you need a water separator. Mercedes eliminated one on
their passenger cars maybe 40 years ago. I haven't had ANY water
problems with fuel in more than 20-25 years. Just drop a little anti-gel
into the tank in early winter (to sequester any accumulated water) use
winterized fuel and buy quality fuel. If you suspect some water, (check
the clear inline filter every now and then) a shot of a water
sequestering agent should take care of as much as a separator that's not
HUGE.
