Did anyone else see the Car and Driver Article about the Diesel Beater contest? They bought three old diesels and raced from Michigan to California.
They had 1983 Datsun Maxima diesel 1982 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Brougham Diesel 1980 Mercedes 300SD It is a pretty good article. Very funny. Sounds like the Benz was a turd and they were not that impressed with it, expect that it made the trip. They are going to auction all three cars on ebay. Donald H.
