If my Greek mythology teachings from 6th and 7th grade literature class are 
correctly recalled, their right bosom was burned off or “seared” at birth to 
avoid its development at a later age impeding their ability to hold a bow and 
arrow.

Or something to that effect.

Mrs. Windhorst would be proud to know I remembered that….
