Kaleb.

The "toaster racks" between old style series plugs are air cooled resistors
there to drop the voltage across each plug to about a volt each, grounded at
the end to complete the circuit.

With the pencil type plugs each has its' own wire and a full 12 volts, no
toaster racks.

If you want to use one wire on pencil type plugs, a short thick wire must go
between each of the 4 plugs directly, no racks and NO ground at the end, (or
you will ground the complete circuit.)

VW used a thick-ish copper strap to connect all pencil style GP's. One end to
power.

Remember that you are talking up to 80 amps on 4 cold plugs. All parts of the
circuit, on a single wire system, must be capable of passing up to 80 amps
safely.

Feel free to be confused and blame me.

In the parallel style 12 volts go to each one, correct? Will the toaster wires
work with the pencil style plugs or does it need the loop style?
