With the machine off, hold down the “P”, “R”, “option” and “Command “ (Apple) keys together. Turn on the machine with these keys depressed and hold them down until you hear the system “bong” sound. Continue holding them down and do so until the machine reboots four times.
After the fourth time, let off and let the system come up like it normally does.
