Servicing ONE of them is more than I want. I see it as just another useless, expensive option with which M-B saddled Americans. I notice that M-B did not inflict this nuisance on their neighbors in Europe.
Leave them closed, service them not. Unplug the connector. Voila! DBAG would build them any way you wanted. MBNA wanted them as it was interested only in the 'luxury' facade. Witness the fool that was incensed that there was a star on one guy's ratty old truck (a Unimog) and insisted he remove it. -- Jim
