My 1983 240D had the rear passenger side Biltstein shock broke through the trailing arm where it rusted/broke out. The spring is still intact in the arm . it caused the arm to bump into the outside axle rubber boot & spring a grease leak . I put in new axles 2-3 years ago . I have another rubber boot but i know you need that tool. I have to put it on the lift to see the boot tear yet . How hard is this to put a used trailing arm in anybody done it ..Appreciate your answers on this .
