Ok, that refreshes my memory about that car.  I was just funny seeing that car after all these years.

Remember the white 300D? I am trying to remember the story on that car
and hope you can help me piece it together. From what I recall, I
bought the car from some guy in the OKC area. Yes, you got it for a
heck
of a price, and drove by my house to gloat on your way home) When I got
it, the thing
would miss and smoked real bad. I did something to it and it then ran
fine from what I remember. (I don't know what you did, but it never
really ran without a fair amount of white smoke,) I had the car for a
while and had it during
an OkieQ. At the Q, there was a guy there who had a SDL. I think this
guy was a friend or coworker of yours. (Yes, Richard Smith - a co-worker
of mine) Sometime after the Q, it seems
like I traded the white 300D for his SDL. I am thinking at some point
you ended up with the car from him (My son bought it from Richard after
Richard was hit on I-40 on his way to work. The left front fender and
drivers door were hit. My son bought it from Richard, went to salvage
yards, and found matching parts. which we replaced. We also pulled the
head looking for cracks to stop the white smoke, no luck) after which I
ended up with the car
back. (My son traded it to you for two 1984 190D's, which he took the
best of each, moving the manual tranny to the car that originally had an
auto. You got the remains back, probably still in the back 40. He drove
that 190D through OU and grad school at MT.) I drove it for a while
after that and ended up selling it to this dude in Owasso.

Now lets talk about the dude in Owasso for a moment. For many years I
used to drive buy this house that had a 123 with the hood up sitting in
same spot in the driveway. I never stopped but a buddy of mine did
asking if he wanted to sell it. Answer was no and the car sat there for
years. So anyway, it turns out this was the guy that bought the white
300D off me. Not too long after he bought it I was driving by this
house and saw the 123 there, still in the same spot, and now the white
car. This was right after he bought it. Today I was driving by and the
123 was still there, and the white car was still sitting in the exact
same spot as when he bought it, with its hood up as well. Except now it
is covered in mold and tree branches. Quite sad. I remember that being
a really nice car. (It was, except for the engine …)
