If any of you folks are in the market for a really good sounding pair of headphones, I highly recommend these: https://www.newark.com/stellar-labs/ho-5960/full-size-dj-headphones/dp/52W8580
Smooth midrange, strong bass, accurate highs, comfortable to wear for hours, do not seal out room sounds (open-back), rather long (not coily) cable with 3.5mm connector and screw-on 1/4" adapter. I have listened to a lot of headphones over the years, and have some pretty decent ones that I tested these against. These sound _almost_ as good as my 1990's vintage Beyerdynamic DT-990 Pro. And better than any headphones I know of that are less than a few hundred dollars. And these are less than $25. Their biggest faults are: * exaggerated bass (but not sloppy, just a bit too much) * bright red (around here, nicknamed REDphones) I have been using them for a couple years. A friend got a pair almost a year ago for their 11 year old to use - and they are still working! I find that rather remarkable. Bass players and drummers seem to really like them as "monitors" while playing. (connected to IEM system, or a personal mixer, or practice) I have no affiliation, I'm just thinking there are some here who share my interest in good sounds. I find Newark a bit of a pain to deal with, but I keep ordering these REDphones anyway. _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
