if you scroll down through the pictures, the 2 blocks are bolted together.
Yes, I noted the hole in the block immediately.
It is a great project, and IF you had all the parts just laying around
it might be worth the effort. but even at PnP prices, it would cost
more than a real lathe at many industrial auctions.
