I too was puzzled by that part. +1 on if they work they're fine. I have a 
strong aversion to repairing unbroken things.

Well, a _dealer_ can sell a car that has shocks so bad I wonder if they're
actually there.  I know, because I bought one that way.  New front shocks
are on order.

What is 'showing their age' anyway?  If they're working fine, they _are_ fine,
and you will never see revenue to make up for the expense.  I would not do it,
not unless you're selling some kind of concours vehicle, for a commensurate 
price.
