We had a 2018 x5d that ate its fuel pump twice in 8000 miles. We told BMW
we had no confidence in it. They gave us all the money we had paid on the
lease and the money for the factory hitch and all weather floormats I had
put into it. So we drove it free for 6 or 8 months. I was very glad to see
it go. Replaced with a 2018 Lexus GX 460, which is nowhere near as fancy,
but a great truck. I would consider keeping the Lexus long-term. Big V8,
tons of torque and rock solid at 80mph.
