So I am trying to decide if I should try to fix up this $500E300 after
its encounter with the tree, or get some new air suspension bits for the
$500E500.
The first option will likely be a fair amount of work and maybe some
expense for a new airbag (maybe sensors) and tensioner and maybe some
nanny modules or something that controls the engine after the airbags
deploy. So that could be a few $100 unless I could find some stuff at
the knackers, which would be a pain too. Plus I don't know anything
about dealing with this stuff. Other choice is just to pull the good
bits and knacker the rest, save it all for if I find another 210 to
transplant it into.
The E500 air shocks are straightforward but a bit spendy, over $1500
unless I can find some at a knacker or a junker. Advance Auto sell
them, the 20% discount code would save a goodly amount.
I *think* the ML320 might be OK since I replaced the connector and
cleaned that stuff up, but I need the computer to clear the codes and
get it out of limp mode. If that thing is sorted I could drive that
too, it's pretty nice. $1300ML320. It needs one replacement tire to
match the other 3, no biggie there. But I still would like to get one
(or both at some point) of the sedans working.
I just ordered this setup, should be here in maybe 2-3weeks, that should
help sort out these various nanny issues these things are having, and on
the SL600 too. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32968748875.html I got
the one with a 360GB SSD was only $5 more than the 320GB HDD.
Help me!
Oh, then there is this one
