Interesting. When I had my 2013 F150 transmission re-programmed for the 2nd time back in July, they told me I was due for brakes too. I really should have a look and see if they are getting worn. I have driven another 5K miles since and do not hear any brake noises so can't be too bad yet, but I am about to put the winter tires on so will have a look then.
