My mechanic son was telling me this morning, that the new F150's have electric parking brakes that are built in to the rear calipers. He thinks it is a recipe for trouble. He thinks if one plans to keep the vehicle beyond the short term, one must diligently take the rear calipers apart annually and make sure they are clean and well lubricated. He expects these calipers to be very expensive to replace.
