It is diesel. I just filled it with water and then emptied it a couple of times. Took out the strainer, level sender and all the hoses. Saw just a very light smoke coming out, probably due to the water drying. No flames anywhere at any time.

Looks good. Was this a diesel tank of gasoline? If the latter, what did you do to make it safe to braze it?
