I had trouble getting over the cast changes, but I do like to watch
magnumII because I can identify a lot of the specific places it is
filmed. And the new Higgy baby is not hard on the eyes... although that
was quite hard to swallow at first. Somehow, they have made it work.

I watched an old episode of the new Magnum (S1E16) last night
involving a gold bullion heist aided by a Unimog. There were these
gold bricks amounting to $100 M or so, the Ferrari was chasing it down
the scenic and sinuous highway leading to the somebody-or-other Hirono
(Crazy Maisie's dad or grandpa?) tunnel cutting through the mountain
towards Honolulu. The speedo on the 'mog was pegged at 100, musta been
the euro version, I'm pretty sure no 'mog can hit 100 mph, especially
not with all those gold bricks in the back.
As if that wasn't enough, there was also a G-Wagen featured.
I think their writers have gotten a bit better though.
