My scraper is 1.5 " - but as you say, a very useful tool. I am usually carrying a screw driver, torch igniter, pliers, and a pair of aviation snips. Other tools rotate depending on the project at hand. I've found the Duluth carpenter pants the best so far for working in the hangar/shop. They fit well yet are loose, and stretch - never limiting movement.
