Yep, the "hydrogen economy" is just a fancy term for
"potentially explosive storage medium". It's all about storing
and transporting electricity, not a power source. Unfortunately,
the congresscritters (and the sheeple who follow them) all seem
to think that hydrogen is a power source.
It's a brilliant stalling tactic. They get to hand out billions in R&D
subsidies to car companies, they get to look like they're "doing
something," and it doesn't threaten the oil interests that line their
pockets one whit. Meanwhile the car companies get to tout their latest
toy fuel cell car as proof that they're "thinking green."
