Reflecting on my own question - for the blower, alternator, etc. 6.5 hp would yield about 4,800 watts out of a generator...right? So you could pull out the engine and the generator and ditch the mega heater. Nice. OR, keep the whole shabang and have a party in your backyard in February - T-shirts and shorts...bring in some sand...endless possibilities! Probably burns diesel in= =20 an oil burner to generate the heat. Could be some other fuel. We have=20 some 140-175,000 btu oil fired space heaters with electric blowers.
