Now I need some help with my 1993 E300D/2.5 Turbo I want to remove the ashtray.
I have already taken out the two Phillips screws in the upper rear of the ashtray assembly. I know I need to slide the horizontal console wood (the one through which the shift lever pokes) to the rear, but the console "glove" box is over where the end of the wood is. On our previous E300D (1990), I could readily access the the aft end of the wood, remove a screw, and slide the wood backwards. This one does not seem to have that option. Any suggestions?
