I have noticed a small coolant leak coming from the LF area of the
radiator and it appeared to be coming from the neck on my 98 E300. The
other day I pulled upper radiator support to pull the aux fan to replace
the belt and saw a very small hairline crack in the tank right on top.
It probably happened way back when I hit that deer. It seems like I
recall some sort of JB weld like material you can use to patch these
sorts of things? Is that a reasonable idea or should I replace the
radiator. Normally I would just replace it but the crack is so small
you can't really see it with the naked eye unless you see a slight
amount of coolant seeping out. Thoughts?
